I would rate Pulau Payar as the Best Marine Park in Malaysia. The Marine park welcomes the travellers with its greenish beach filled with Marine life. Usually the Marine Park tours are day trips which starts from Kuah Jetty in Langkawi. One hour of journey by Cruise Boat / Speedboat will take you to Pulau Payar. Enjoy activities like snorkelling,... More

The cleanest beach and the amzing food and facility arrangement. there are lots of fishes of big size as well. Good and safe for all ages and best snorkeling spot. Tour maybe little costly, but totally worth it.

We went to the Island on a weekday, hence, it was not too crowded. The experience was amazing and is manageable even for non-swimmers. However, there were no guides at the location and we were left on our own. A little investment can make the place even better.

I went there with my girlfriends and opted for the snorkeling experience at the deep sea and not shore option. Shore option is limited and not really fantastic and the place is overcrowded with people unlike deep sea where the ferry will dock you at the deep sea platform. Buffet lunch is provided along with life jacket and snorkeling kit.... More

I've tried snorkelling few times before in Thailand, Philippine and Maldives. But langkawi is most family friendly snorkelling spot. Most snorkelling spot are in the middle of ocean. You seldom see fishes nearby the beach. But here in pilau payar is different. If you step into the water from the beach, after 3-5 steps, there are bunch of fish groups... More

There are 3 companies taking tourists for full day trips from either Langkawi or Penang (1 and 2 hour journey each way minimum). They all deliver to the same spot, which becomes crowded during busy times (weekends and holidays). We went on an unbusy day and still your treated largely like cattle. herded about. Actually we expected all this with... More

We took a visit today to here with a group of 4. We were charged 160 Ringit per Pax and it was a incredibly poor experience. Probably the worst trip I ever visited whilst travelling (I have travelled a lot). We've literally spent 80% of the time in transport (waiting, waiting and more waiting). When arriving there, the beach was... More

My 3 friends & I had purchased a snorkelling package in Pulau Payar Marine Park at a cost of RM150 per pax which is considered value for money as it includes round trip hotel pickup & lunch. Someone from the travel agency came to pick us up in a van. We were then sent to the jetty & boarded a... More

Beautiful island with beautiful waters - saw a looootttt of different kinds of fishes including black tail baby sharks. Had an amazing day snorkelling. One thing to note though that I dont think they have fresh water on the island for you to use to shower/clean yourself after your beach activities - we came prepared so it wasn't a problem... More
