Overview
More
Kuti is a beautiful community wildlife reserve, working with the bordering villages to protect nature and support people living in the area. Accommodation ranges from camping to luxurious bush villas with barbecue area. Kuti has a restaurant, a shop and a bar to enjoy the sunset with a drink. The gate fees go to projects in the local communities. Kuti Wildlife Reserve is a non-profit trust managed by a Dutch couple and run by local staff and international volunteers. New volunteers are always welcome. A map with directions can be found on our website. If you come with public transport, you can ask the minibus to drop you at the Kuti turn-off and take a bike taxi from there. Or you go to Salima bus station and call a taxi (should be approx 6000 MWK). Children pay half price at the gate.

We stayed two nights in Kuti in May. We have done a couple of safaris in Africa before coming here and we chose to come because they have sable antilopes and it's possible to ride a bike trough the park. There were not a lot...More

Stayed with kids aged 5 and 8 in Kudu villa. Lovely villa with large rooms, very clean. Constant hot water, due to attentive staff lighting fire and staff also kept lighting outdoor stove for us - so the lack of indoor cooking facilities was no...More

A very simple but very peaceful and relaxing place to visit. Not as many wild animals as other places in africa but the african charm is still there and also some wildlife the water / river gives it a really good wild feeling.

I have stayed at Kuti many times and it has always been wonderful. I stay in one of the chalets and they have just been refurbished and look great! Kuti is a very special place to stay as you are right in the heart of...More

The staff and facilities were nice, however I just don't recommend coming out during this time of year (February/rainy season). The sunset deck is shut down for repairs/renovations, the grass was so tall we just didn't see much, the roads are super muddy, and most...More

We heard good stories about this place but were very disappointed. Employees were very friendly and helpful, but there was no atmosphere. In the Bradt guide Kuti Game Ranch is described as a community ranch, but after speaking to the employees we found out that...More

Nice little reserve where you can walk or cycle around. We stayed in one of the A frames which have a great location. Many thanks to Linda who organised our booking and helped with our onward journey.

Stayed at Kuti overnight, it was my first experience of a wildlife park in Malawi, and it was a wonderful introduction! It was lovely to be able to walk freely through the park, and though we set off quite late from our lodge, we arrived...More

An adorable place, run by warm-hearted people, which will allow you an enjoyable break on the way from central to south Malawi. That said, three words of advice have to be added: First — only the A-Frames are adjacent to the main area where the...More
