This is the one of the most important religious site in Lebanon dedicated to Virgin Mary. The statue of Mary overlooks the Jounieh Bay. We are allowed to climb up. However, it is very narrow on top so you just have to be patient and wait for your turn. The views at the top are beautiful. Worth going up.

We passed by this holy place after Paragliding Club Thermique. It's just 3 minutes away by car. We actually flew above it with pilot Elie Mansour and he suggested that we pass by to visit this amazing place. And glad we did :)

It doesn't matter if you are Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Atheist, Agnostic or Buddhist, you will love this place. Everything about it is just marvelous. Very quite and the weather is awesome even if it is mid July or even August. You cannot visit Lebanon without visiting Harissa.

Words can’t describe it and pictures don’t do it justice. This is what I’ve seen and experienced, I hope you enjoy your experience at church of saint Harissa, just like I did. I can’t wait until my next visit to Lebanon so I can visit again!
