We were on this beach daily during our stay at a resort with direct access. Apart from the numerous tourists, it is vibrant with locals at the weekends and many stalls selling local handicrafts. We bought colourful beach wraps and towels, bags, sandals which are...More

After visiting Malindi and Diani, my favourite coastal town is definitely Watamu. The beaches are nicer, less crowded and less touristy. We discovered some lonely coral reefs which are a great spot for sunsets and sunrises. The town is also cheaper compared to Malindi and...More

When I went it was quite quiet so was the place to go off peak time when you don't want too many folk around.

Picturesque beaches and warm water. Feels as if you are in the carribean. Nice hotel bars accessible from the beach. Friendly local craftsmen willing to hand make souvenirs per order.

Had a wonderful meal in a restaurant overlooking the beach then wandered out to some bits of coral that are islands when the tide is in.

Watamu is one of my favorite beaches. White sand, blue ocean with a fantastic temperature, and a magnificent view. There are several restaurants and hotels and the food is amazing. I have been there several times and will for sure go back.

Hi! Actually yes! there is lots of small villages and also the beach is long. So you can always find some place there. just be careful about the tide. its changing each 6 hours.
