You have to pay a couple tenge for the entrance. I missed better navigation around the park. I did not find the exit to Al-Farabi street. Is he there or not? Escaped through some gate with a barking dog. The garden is definitely interesting.

It is really a good place to walk in, especially in the summer. There's a huge variety of flora species, japanese garden and pine forest.

Only the Japanese garden is worth a visit. The rest of the botanical garden is huge but needs some serious maintenance, seems like no one worked in it for the last 5 years.. Which is a pity!

The Botanical Garden in Almaty is over a hundred hectares in area and is centrally located in Almaty. For a nominal entrance fee of about GBP 45 pence (July 2016), you can wander around the gardens. There is a Japanese garden which features a bridge....More

A great place to go to when the weather is good and you want to escape the city without going to far. A small but nice Japanese garden. Lots of trees and plants from all over the world in different parts. A cactus and tropical...More
