Almaty doesnt have tons of great sights to see but this cathedral is well worth a visit. My favorite for sure in the city.

This is a most magnificent example of the region's orthodox church architecture. The internal decoration, the ornate paintings and carvings are beautiful to look at. Take a camera, be respectful but don't be shy to take the picture you really want.
