During my visit to Almaty in Kazakhstan I have met a taxi driver, then I asked him if he can take us around for a full day trip in Almaty. He was so nice and kind, took us many places and waited for us and he takes less money than other taxies or cars from the hotel. Well his English not that good but I was communicating with through translation app from English to Russian so he understand where we want to go. I suggest him to people want to visit Almaty and wants a driver. This is his number (+7 701 273 5558) you can WhatsApp him or call.

Tips for taking taxi in Almaty. Do not go with the drivers searching for passengers and trying to heckle you.
The yandex app is cheapest. You just need to install in your country with your sim and activate it. Or buy a SIM when you reach and then activate with that number.
If the drivers approach you, they will ask for 10000 Tenge and will come down to 5000 while the app shows 2000. Then they will agree to 2000 and then when you reach they will lock you in and demand 800 to 900 dollars. It happened to us and we met many people in the hotel and it happened to them too.
So book from app or from taxi prepaid counters at airport or ask your hotel to send one and they will ask for 7000 to 8000 Tenge.
So be careful.
