The bridge itself isn't an attraction, but for the name-sake (roughly translated as good luck bridge) and the view of Mt Iwate is worth the visit. We visited April when snow remained at the top. Mt Iwate is so beautiful. I wonder how Mt Iwate would look in winter. As the bridge is major path for people going to/from station... More

A picturesque bridge on the walk out to our hotel from the train station. There were lots of flowers planted on the banks of the river on each side of the girdered structure and on a clear afternoon we could also see Mount Iwate upriver ... quite nice really!

A gorgeous old suspension bridge that seems to be more used by foot traffic coming from the Morioka JR station than vehicular traffic. The north side of the bridge offers a good view of Mount Iwate.

Just 5 minutes walk from the Morioka Station to east side, the bridge is a remarkable spot to visit first in the town.
