Within easy walking distance from Ishiwarizakura, we arrived at the Sakurayama shrine which also leads on to the castle ruins. Despite the icy conditions, locals still frequented the shrine on their way to work. Bow in humility and ring the bell for affirmation, peaceful and serenity calms the mind and spirit. Next to Morioka Castle. If you go to Morioka Castle, you can stop by the shrine. It's on Morioka Odori, and hard to miss. It's small shrine, but nice cherry blossom. Don't forget to see the large sacred rock behind the shrine.
