山寺には、入山口に同じく芭蕉と曾良の旅姿像があるので実際に上までお参りして下山後に再度この旅姿像を見れば感動も増すと思います。また、下山後の名物たまこんにゃくの味は最高ですね。

東口駅前広場の古関裕而像の脇を通り道路側、駅前通り（先はレンガ通り）に渡る前にあります。芭蕉、曽良は福島で一夜を過ごしたので、奥の細道３００年を記念して建立したそうです。東口駅前広場でどこに建っているか探しました。左側のバスのりばに行ったり、右側のタクシーのりば方面に右往左往しましたが、ほぼ真ん中にありました。
