トイレと駐車場が綺麗

明治期に建築された歴史的建造物で、現在でも貸室に利用されています。古い物を大切にして活用することは素晴らしいです。木造の大規模な和風建物で、派手さはありませんが風格がある外観です。トイレと駐車場が新しく整備されました。

八戸の中心部にある登録有形文化財建築

八戸の中心部にある、明治末から大正時代にかけて建てられた泉山家の邸宅。現在は市の施設として利用されているようです。内部見学もできるようですが、訪問時は中には入れませんでした。玄関まわりや、建物外観、庭園も素晴らしいものです。国の登録有形文化財に指定されています。

立派な和風建築

　更上閣は、明治30年頃から大正時代にかけて呉服商、醤油の製造などで財をなした泉山家が建築した邸宅です。現在は八戸市の集会場として保存活用されていました。
内部の和室の広間は手工芸品などの販売をしていました。

えんぶりの時期にぜひおいでください

明治30年頃に建築された建物で、平成15年に国の登録有形文化財に指定されています。
２月１７日からの「八戸えんぶり」という祭り期間。この中庭で夜にはかがり火に照らされ、烏帽子をかぶった大夫が舞います。
甘酒などのあたたかいものをいただきながら見るえんぶりはこれぞ「ザ・にっぽん」という風情
また、ひな祭りの時期には歴史あるひな人形の数々が建物いっぱいに展示されます。

『お庭えんぶり』を見に来るべし！

「お庭えんぶり」でしか訪れたことはありませんが、せんべい汁と甘酒をすすりながら、雪で真っ白になった庭で演じられる八戸えんぶりを屋敷から眺めるのは、旦那様気分満点！ここに来るなら、2月17日～20日、お庭えんぶりを見に来るのが一番です。

お庭えんぶりを見て感動しました

東北の冬祭を回るツアーで訪れました。八戸のえんぶりというお祭りは正直あまり知らなかったのですがまず明治からの建物が立派でとても雰囲気もあり素敵でした。入り口にはえんぶり祭に出演する出演者たちが全員立って並んで歓迎してくれました。広々した庭園を望む大広間に通されてそこには座布団、ひざ掛け、パンフレット、ホッカイロが用意されていました。さらには熱々の甘酒、せんべい汁を振舞われてとてもおいしかったです。つまり室内に座って戸が開け放たれた状態で庭で演じられる八戸のお庭えんぶりを見ました。東北弁は全然よくわからないのですがまずは語り部が上手。ここから引き込まれていくのですが馬のかぶりものをかぶった男の方たち（太夫）さんが主役、そのほか何度も演じられた子供たちの踊り、素晴らしかったです。下は３歳から小学生、大人の方までがどれだけ練習されたのだろうと本当に驚かされましたがまた出しものに何度も登場されておられたのも感動ものでした。かなり難しい踊りなのに寒い雪ふる外なのにきちんと待ち時間は待っておられてさらに演じられるという行為だけも素晴らしいと思いましたが特に３歳のお子さんはちょっと転ぶ事があったのですがすくっと立ち上がってちゃんとついていって踊られていました。また待ち時間にはお姉ちゃんたちがちゃんと面倒を見ておられてチームワークの素晴らしさにも驚かされました。前の真ん中に立った小学校５年生の男の子のリードも素晴らしかったです。もちろん太夫さんたちを初め、女の子３人による舞、さらにはえびす舞をされた男の子は寒い間ずっとまっていてやっと出番がきて口上の大変なこと。ずっと口上をのべながら舞われる。実に雰囲気があってお上手でした。楽器を演奏する方たちもおられるし、みなさんが心をこめて一生懸命これまで習熟されてきたものを拝見できて幸せでした。あまりなじみがなくて初めて知ったお祭りの１つですが感動的でした。帰る時最後の一人が出るまで出演された方たちは３歳児を含めてみなさんで立ってずっと見送ってくれました。これまた感動でした。とても心に温かいものを頂いて寒い雪の八戸でしたが体験することができて幸せでした。
