We went into this little museum on a recent cruise visit to Kochi - it is dedicated to the Yosakoi festivals, where participants wear brightly coloured costumes while dancing. There was a video to watch which was a great help as there was minimal signage...More

It is at the end of Harimayabashi Shopping Street. Visit there before you watch Yosakoi Matsuri. The staffs there very friendly and able to converse in English, something that is kinda hard to find in Kochi.

I went with my 2 yo daughter and she enjoyed spending time at the museum where they have dressed her with the typical yosakoy dancing clothes and teach her the basic of this dance. It was a nice time spent there.
