蒸気機関車が展示されていました

最初、普通の公園かなと思ったら、奥の方に蒸気機関車が展示されていました。また中央には生駒親正の像と説明書が有りました。

番町二丁目公園♪

地元の方も多く、家族連れも多かったです、今回は、ふらふらと散策しただけですが、見応えある公園内で楽しめました。

C58型蒸気機関車

JR高松駅から徒歩15分のところにある公園です。多目的広場と遊具広場からなる公園です。8月に立ち寄った時は、小学生が昆虫採集をしていました。この公園には高松城と城下町を整備した生駒親正の石像とC58型蒸気機関車があります。この機関車は、昭和13年9月に川崎車両でつくられ、鹿児島、岡山、四国で昭和44年9月まで走り続けたとのことです。走った距離は２２１５９２３キロメートルで地球を５５回まわったことになるとのことです。機関車に興味がある方にお勧めのスポットです。
