One of our most memorable times in Okinawa was the bar hopping at Asato Sakaemachi. You may find lots of small local food stands and drinking places serving alcohol (including the locally brewed rice wine called Awamori) and different types of local dishes such as...More

The Sakaemachi Arcade comes alive at night with the tiny restaurants and Izakaya opening up and coming alive. Locals queuing for tasty delicacies like gyoza and yakitori tells a better story than I can. Some of it is a bit run down, and toilets can...More

This place is reallly local market place. The road is quite narrow and goods are very local. Better to visit this place after 6pm otherwise; nothing much to see at all.
