This is a nice shrine to visit. Other than watching how people pray, one can also buy a piece of wood for 300 yen and write down one's wishes. Worth visiting.

Nice little temple, on a cliff very close to the local beach. Certainly worth a visit (there really aren't that many things worth visiting in Naha).

This is the only Shinto shrine that is located in Naha, and is very easy to get to from Asahi-Bashi rail station, or taxi. Lovely red building, not really bog but is still Japanese nonetheless. Not to the scale of what you might see in Kytoto, but here being Okinawa, is still nice to see a bit of it. Nearby... More

We loved this small shrine next to the ocean. It´s very quiet with locals going there to pray and just a place to witness local culture. It´s also ery easy to reach, close to the city center and also to the beach. I highly recommend a visit here.

This shrine is next to the beach by the waters. There was some praying going on whilst here so was interesting to observe. I won't go out of my way to come here but if you are coming this way, you will cover the shrine and the beach. Both underwhelming.

A small shrine that is placed on a klif. It does not take too much time to visit. It offers some shadow, space to sit and meditate. As usual there is a talisman shop.

Quiet and peaceful. However, too many group visitors made it much more noisy and less respectful.

As far as Japanese shrines go, this one doesn't take much time to visit since it's not very big. It's beautifully maintained and well cared for and worth the visit if you're looking to get some spiritual peace into your visit to Okinawa.
