We love the natural environment. This place is not too touristy and you get to enjoy the peace and serenity. Nice photo spot too!

The lake is known as Shidaka Lake on Google maps. It is a popular camping and fishing site for the locals.There are a few walking tracks from 30 minutes to a few hours on flat surfaces. The only down side is the infrequent bus services.

Really glad we drove up and visited this transquil and beautiful lake.. peaceful...swans ....do pop by of u happen to visit Beppu. There is car park available nearby...
