It was so cold weather, but really satisfied. good to walk. and the view at the top, it was really amazing. You don't need to go another place to see city view. I recommend go here at Spring.

Large castle ruins, you can walk up to the top for some nice views. Come here after visiting Ohori Park, it is right next to it. Many ruins, castle largely destroyed.

It was quite a sad sight as things were quite run down. It may have been a different scene when the flowers are blooming. Nothing much to see on a winter's day.

It was quite a walk from Ohori station, but you will enjoy the long walk. During my visit, I got all the place for myself. I saw a couple, then a after a few minutes, it was only me. I enjoy the view from the top. If I could visit again during spring, I would~

Close to Ohori Koen Subway Station. Very spacious and not so many people around. It is ruins but with the help of remaining parts of the castle and with your imagination, you can feel the atmosphere of the history.

Free place to spend <1 hour. There is an information office you can go to and get an English guide to the castle. It's a nice walk with an excellent view of the city once you get to the ruins of the tower. Essentially a park with the stone wall ruins throughout. It is maybe 4 metro stops from Hakata... More

...and it was tiring for the reason that we set foot on the castle base. Anyhow, even if we felt disappointed after going up a lot of times, we appreciated how Fukuoka looks like from that perspective.

As other reviewers mention, this is mostly the ruins, but the walks are beautiful, the highest observation area offers great views of the area and it's all easy walking paths. A great place to run, unwind, let kids run around to burn off energy and enjoy the multitudes of birds.
