Went there on Apr 8, 2024 when it was a rainy day. We hope we can see the beautiful combination of cherry trees and baby blue eyes (nemophila). We got lost because we followed a group of people out of the train station to the right (to Marine Park). There are no signs in English. Using google maps didn't help. So we decide to go back towards to the station and take the left side of the station. It turns out that this is the correct park. Entrance fee is ¥450/person. Bike rental place in a building not far from the payment machine counter. The officer advised not to rent a bike because there would be more rain. Just walk. We passed the rows of cherry trees, playground, tulip park, until the main lawn. Beautiful, although not as beautiful as when the weather is sunny. Take a leisurely walk to the main lawn with a stop for a few photos for about 30 minutes. We got lost few more times in the park as there is not enough signage to the main lawn. Spend at least 2 hours here. Worth a visit if you like walking to enjoy nature Not crowded and fresh air.

The Park is HUGE!

We visited the park during winter so it looked pretty barren, no beautiful flowers in sight :( but the good thing probably that it was quite empty since it was pretty windy and cold.

Kids were happy with lots of playground to explore, sadly we didn't get a chance to explore the whole Park. However, I did enjoy gaining all those steps though.

I believe come spring time, the Park will be very pretty and more enjoyable to explore.

Will be back during the correct season perhaps.

What an awesome place to visit. 20 minutes on a fast ferry and it's like being a world away from downtown Fukuoka. Lovely walk area to walk and be pretty much on your own

Hello everyone, I visited the seaside park today (27/10/2023) and my experience with the park staff was a mix of positive and negative moments. Unfortunately, my uncle lost contact with us as the park was closing, and he faced a challenging situation due to his limited sense of direction and reduced mobility, being 75 years old with heart problems. Regrettably, one male staff member was quite impolite and insistent in chasing my uncle out, which o nly exacerbated his anxiety. This situation is concerning, as it could potentially leads to immediate heart attack.
I'm deeply disappointed with the level of service provided by this staff member. As tourists, we are unfamiliar with the park's layout, and I believe that one of the staff's roles s hould be to assist and guide visitors to the correct exit, rather than pushing them out unceremoniously. I sincerely hope that the park authorities will take action to address this unfortunate incident. Feel free to contact me to identify the misbehaved male staff.
On a more positive note, I would like to express my gratitude to another staff member wearing glasse s who assisted us in locating my uncle, using a car. He was exceptionally polite and calm.

Went on a weekday, was pretty much empty in the morning. Great playground facilities and lots of open area to sit or walk in.

Admission to the small zoo within the park was included in ticket price (400 yen) and it was well worth it. You’re able to interact with many of the animals, including capybaras.

I’d suggest to pack a lunch or bring some snacks with you as there aren’t very many cafe or restaurant options to choose from. There are plenty of picnic tables and benches available to have a picnic lunch.

Enjoyable place. Love the weather. Not used to the food though. Specially if you don't eat innards like me.

We were in Fukuoka for the day during our cruise. Japanese friends met us and took us to this park. We rented bicycles so we could see most of this enormous park. The bicycles were in excellent condition. There were bicycle parking racks at intervals. We 4 adults had a great time going down the super slide in the playground area, We also enjoyed the bird area, the small but quality zoo, the rose garden which still had some roses in it even in late October, as well as other types of flowers, and of course, the immense fields of cosmos in bloom.

The park is also convenient to access Shikanoshima, a land-tied island connected at a sandbar/causeway. There is scenery galore out there, and a fine seafood restaurant also.

Uminonakamichi Seaside Park is a Nice and huge park. You can go there by land or by ferry. I suggest you rent a bike to go around the park so you will be able to see the most of it. Also bring food to eat in case you get hungry and away from restaurant. With more than 16,000 steps on my “Fit band”, we still did not see the big part of it and we were tired already. It’s a beautiful place, lots of flowers too. A must to see this park.

Wow. This park looked amazing on google maps, but when we went there it was even more spectacular.
We went here for 3 hours in September. Took a ferry from Hakata port (a very nice 15 min ride, not too many waves and you get to see great distance view of hakata city) to Saitozaki ferry terminal.
This park is enormous, best way to see everything without taking forever is to hire a bike. It's around 500Yen for 3-4 hours. There are designated bike paths in the park, however you can take the bike in certain areas where there is lot of foot traffic. There are lot of bike stops where you can park and have a walk through different attractions. There is a bit of everything at this seaside park, there is a zoo, bird area, picnic areas, lot of gardens and is very kid friendly too - such as kids pools, picnic benches etc.
Great place to go to escape the city for a few hours, especially on a lovely sunny day, whether your a couple or a family, there's something to do for everyone. When we went, there wasn't too many flowers blooming. This place must be exploding with people during cherry blossom season....
If you go to Fukuoka, be sure to come check this place out, you won't regret it xD
