I've been to Fukuoka several times and finally decided to check out Fukuoka Tower. There is paid parking here and the entrance was pretty cheap. I went on an off day so there wasn't a line to the elevator. Once at the top, the views are amazing. It's interesting seeing the city from this height. The inside of the building was fun, modern, and clean. I think it's worth doing at least once but not worth going out of your way.

Visited Fukuoka Tower on a guided tour this past trip to Japan. Views are nice and they have the "love locks" for purchase and a place for you to lock them on. There are also a few games you can play on one of the levels.

The tower's light changes to different colors. Tourists get discount when they present their passports. The view deck offers a great view of Fukuoka at night. I bet it's also great to visit during daytime in order to see the water and mountains surrounding the place.
There is also a restaurant located a floor lower that has reasonable prices but choices are limited. Mostly pasta and desert. However, there is a 300 yen charge per person on top of your order.

It's simply a TV tower with a waiting room and shops at the bottom and at the top was an observation platform, resteraunts, and souveniers. To say we were disappointed is an understatement.

The tower has an observation deck on level 5 and 3. It's 800 yen per adult (and you get a slight discount if you're a foreigner, making it 640 yen). You get a nice view of the sea and Hakata on the observation decks. Worth a visit if you haven't been. But probably wouldn't be a place you'd go again.

Great view. Try visiting it just before nightfall, to see a morning and night view of Fukuoka. The 5th level viewing deck is around 120+ meters high, with a view all around.
It's quite romantic by the evening - they even capitalize on this by having a "lover's floor" on the 3rd level viewing deck where you can take a picture in front of a heart, buy heart shaped padlocks and make memories, or buy omikuji/fortunes.
Besides the tower itself, take a walk around the surrounding area - it's splendid.
