お祈りの道途中の湧水

墓の谷というお祈りの場所にいく途中にある湧水です。ふもとから結構歩くので、ここで休憩を取る人をよくみます。

紀泉高原ハイキングコースの休憩所

和歌山市直川にある役行者ゆかりの霊場とされる「墓の谷」への参道の途中に「井関橋」という橋があります。
この橋を渡ると「墓の谷」へと向かうのですが、渡らずにハイキングコースを井関峠へ向かって200mほど進んだところに、こんこんと湧き水の出ている場所があります。

これは「大福の名水」と呼ばれ、わざわざ遠くからこの水を汲むために来る人もいるそうです。年中枯れることのない湧き水だと言われ、紀泉高原ハイキングコースを歩くハイカーにとっても一服の清涼剤としての役割を果たしています。

地元に保存会があり、看板やパイプなどの設備は保存会の方々が整備されているようです。奥深い山々と自然林がもたらす大自然の恵みの水、大切に守っていきたいものです。
