Spectacular east pagoda from original building. Multiple buildings with heritage Buddha sculptures. Easy to get to via Kintetsu train at the Nishinokyo stop, about 20 minutes with 1 train change; see Nara tourist map.

Had an opportunity to visit the Yakushiji Temple on behalf of the Kakehashi Project sponsored by (JICE). This was an awesome temple to visit to experience and learn about Japanese history, region, and culture. The tour was amazing. Great place to visit in Nara.
