The garden was one of my favourite gardens that I visited on my trip to Japan. It's only a short walk from the Todai-ji and though relatively small in size, is definitely worth a visit. There is also a small museum opposite the gardens which...More

We visited this garden 3 years ago and wanted to visit again. BUT, the garden is closed to the public whilst reconstruction is done. Visit Yoshikien next door which is free to foreigners.

It is the most tranquil place we've been on this trip. There aren't a bus load of tourist like in other attractions. You can spend time taking in the sights in the back and front gardens. Its well worth the 900Yen entrance fee

Nice small Japanese garden for couple of hours. The guide explained us about the small buildings or place where tea ceremony is done. This was a private garden earlier now available for public. Many places to take a perfect photo especially during autumn. Good place...More

These gardens are well worth the 900 yen to gain entrance. They are tranquil and in the late fall the colours are beautiful. The waterfalls are peaceful. I would skip the museum but the Isuien Garden is a good way to start your visit to...More

Hi Jolly, You will find it is OK with stroller, you may need to hold baby here and there, because the path is not smooth like drive way. Hope it is helpful. Cheers, Linda
