I went to this island with Kaito Yumin CLub Eco-tour in Toba in a tour called `Shima Gakkou Gaido` which the local elementary school students became our guide exploring this island. They are very cute and the teacher said that this guiding activity will help the students improving their communication skill. There is a karst in their school backyard facing... More

If you love Yukio Mishima, his book The Sound of the Waves, or both, this is a pilgrimage worth making. Different parts of the book are marked out on the island (like the lighthouse, the shrine, the observation tower, and others). It is a bit of a hike, so bring your walking shoes and some water.
