During the Edo period, lords and ladies took a boat along the Sumida River to Asakusa and the Sensoji Temple. Today, a sightseeing boat takes a similar route departing from the traditional Hama Rikya Garden.

An 45 min journey down this delightful river you will pass many of the well known highlights of this magnificent city and pass under at least 16 bridges, very enjoyable

I walked form Senso-ji Temple to the Tokyo Skytree just crossing the Sumida River. It looked nice and you can take some very good photos on the way.

Driving around Tokyo one is bound to see this river that runs centrally through the city. It is a pretty sight. There are dinner cruises which operate on this river too.

The river tour boat is a great way to see this part of the river. It is interesting to note that all the bridges that cross this part of the river are all different.

Located near the Asakusa "T" station is "Sumida River" If you crossed the street when getting out of the "t" station. There is a bridge that lets you walk and see the river. I would recommended going during the evening to see the light of...More

This is the big river flowing through Tokyo to Tokyo Bay , very nice views . Nicely lit at night . Excellent to run along . Some boats take tourists for a short cruise . Many bridges .
