If you enjoy nature, it’s a must do if you can afford the time. We caught a bus 🚌 to stop 44 (yutaki-iriguchi) on the Yumoto Onsen route and made our way south. We started at yukaki falls, which was breathtaking. There is a wooden...More

Very nice area to walk around. You cannot get lost as it is all well described in the hiking map you get at the tourist office in Nikko. Many bus stops around.

This area is very beautiful in Spring and Autumn and have many trekking parths with various lengths. Slow moving streams all along the paths and nice places to sit and have your meals on your way.

I went here on a sunny day with not many people around and loved the atmosphere and nature. Quite a long and relaxing walk.

It takes about 3 hours from Tokyo to Nikko Station and 2 hours from Nikko Station to Senjogahara. It is possible to have a day trip if you leave Tokyo early morning. However, I recommend you should stay for one night. Yumoto... More
