Pleasant stop for an hour on route. A little less formal than the British residence in the same area.

Not as impressive as the British villa, but since they are within ten minutes of each other, easy to visit both. We enjoyed the video of the diplomats vacationing at the lake.

Not quite as interesting as the British Embassy Memorial Park but still worth a look. We had a rainy day at the lake so it was nice to visit.

I thought it would be monumental park, but it is a small quite villa just next door with another small villa (the British Embassy villa)

The Italian Embassy Villa Memorial Park is a wonderful destination if you are interested in architecture and interior design. It is connected to the British Embassy Villa Memorial Park ... which is equally as charming. The views and the atmosphere are superb.

A pleasant hike along the shores of Chuzenji amidst calm broken by birds and insects shrills brought me to a lovely 2-storey European house built in 1928. Inside, we could almost imagine the inhabitants of yore being busy in their daily chores. Combination of European...More

The summer embassy house has a fantastic outlook and great photo opportunities. I wonder why the Italian Government handed the house back to Japan. I did ask the question but no one knew the answer.

The park around the lake is amazing but the small wooden villa itself is not impressive. Nice example of a bygone era and worth a visit if you have time to spare and you're in the area. Not worth a trip there only to see...More

The villa is beautifully restored and with the displays and videos shows how enjoyable being a diplomat in pre-war Japan must have been.
