こちらは、さいたま市大宮区にある「埼玉県立歴史と民俗の博物館」の敷地内にある、弥生式住居を復元しだものです。
外からしか見学出来ませんが、茅葺屋根が素晴らしいです。

「埼玉県立歴史と民俗の博物館」の敷地内にある。博物館周辺は「大宮公園内遺跡」であり、埼玉県指定の史跡となっている。この住居跡は1955年に行われた発掘調査で見つかった弥生時代後期(3世紀頃)の竪穴住居のもので、現在は当時の住居が復元されている。
博物館見学のついでに見る場所であって、ここを目的に行くような場所ではない。

大宮駅から歩けば25分くらいかかります。最寄りの駅は東武の大宮公園駅です。埼玉県立歴史と民俗の博物館の弓道場側入口のそばにあります。博物館の周辺は大宮公園内遺跡と呼ばれていて住居跡や土器が発見されています。復元した住居の奥に弥生時代の墓がありますが、よく見えませんでした。

竪穴式住居は加曾利貝塚などで見られますが、弥生式住居は意外とないものです。都会にある、歴史を感じさせる場所です。

埼玉県立歴史と民俗の博物館の敷地内（入り口の近く）にある、弥生式住居の復元です。
こちらで住居跡が出土したそうで、奥の方にはお墓もあります。
中には入れませんが、近くで見るとかなりしっかりした作りで、歴史の勉強を始めたばかりの小学生なんかにはいいんじゃないかと思います。

埼玉県歴史と民俗の博物館の入り口近くにある、復元した弥生式住居です。近くで見ると結構しっかりした造りだったことがわかります。周りには掘り出された墓などもあり、当時の生活の痕跡が見て取れます。

現在は埼玉県立歴史と民俗の博物館敷地内にあります。但し、弥生式住居跡の発掘調査が行われたのが1955年、埼玉県立歴史と民俗の博物館の前身である埼玉県立博物館が開館したのが1971年なので、正確に言うと弥生式住居跡の隣に博物館を造りました。ということになります。博物館敷地内にあっても弥生式跡は無料で見ることが出来ますので、大宮公園に行った時に寄って見るのもいいと思います。

弥生人の粗末な家がいまだに残っているわけはなく、これは現代に復元されたもの。
内部に入れないし、まったくもって大したもんじゃない。
博物館に来たついでに、ちょこっと見ればいいと思う。
多分、団体で来る小学生たちの社会科見学には、役に立っているのだろうから、評価は普通ぐらいに、留めておいた。
個人的に大人が行ってみた場合、●●ぐらいの評価だろうけど。
