Quiet walk with someone special

Great place for couples, families as there are lots to do and see. Would have been nice if the cherry blossoms were in bloom while we were there. Otherwise easy location to find.

A regular park in Omiya that's famous for its temple and cherry blossom trees during spring season. Free to come, no charge to enter the old small museum. Lots of family with kids come here to play so it gets busy and populated. Lots of old people with their dogs too. A place to unwind or if you don't have... More

I have been here three times- quite long ago. Its a lake to walk around. Very limited facilities are available. Has some forgettable eateries.

Went to this park to enjoy the Cherry blossom with my family, as expected it was packed with people, food stalls and of course hundreds of flowering trees, not a lot of seating to be had, the park also has a run down amusement park/ go carts and also a small zoo, which is also a disappointment as the size... Took my infant son to Omiya park (walked there from Omiya station) in February. He loved the playground and the small zoo there, and we happily killed half a day there. Well worth a look, as it's rather scenic. There's a shrine in the grounds too.

Huge park, lovely to walk around in the changing seasons and lots for kids to do. There is a fairly large, but rather dated playground with a few amusement park style rides in the middle. A small Zoo, which if you can get over the small cages is very enchanting. They have a native Japanese Bear next to a Hyena... More

Great place to view the cherry blossoms. A nice large park in the city. Always seems to be something going on during the weekends.
