We, (2 adults 1 child 9yo) came here not knowing what to expect, and walked away very impressed. We walked from the station and it was easy and we had no issues. When we arrived the staff asked if we had booked, we hadn't, but it's good to know to get an English tour you need to book. We waited... More

We hadn't booked and it was a Sunday but we still got a tour of the beer factory. The tour was in Japanese but they gave us some brochures in English so we knew what was happening. Nothing was operating it was a Sunday. There were free beer samples at the end, provided you were over 20 and not driving... More

Come dressed in your best Samurai jersey! Football fans (not me though) cannot miss the fact that Kirin is one of the major sponsors for the Japanese football team. We were given an English guide who took us through the beer manufacture process at our own pace and a free sample of a can of Kirin. Preferred to drink the... More

Great tour that is educational and fun for everyone. I've never seen so many kids on a brewery tour before. The free tour is popular so book reservations to make sure you get a spot. You learn all about the process to make beer and at the end you have 20 minutes to try 3 beers or other nonalcoholic beverages... More

The first thing to do is to call +81-45-503-8250 and reserve your slot(s) for the Kirin Beer Factory Tour. If you walk in and there are no vacant slots they will not accommodate you. The Kirin Beer Yokohama Brewery isn’t hard to find. According to Google Maps, the closest train station to it is Namamugi so that was where we... More

Your though conducted in Japanese was interesting. The video effects they had were great. There were about 20 people in our group and only 2 were Japanese, excluding the guide. The guide was extremely passionate ... couldn't understand what she was saying but you can tell. The passion towards beer was definitely infectious! They provide a English handout that explains... I managed to register myself for the factory tour through email in English. I was glad that they responded fast and gave me a timeslot on the day when I was in Yokohama. The place was a 10 minutes walk from Namamugi Station. I managed to ask for directions from a group of ladies who were also heading there. If... More

Reaching the museum via train can be tricky. Its a 10 minute walk from either Keikyu Shin Koyasu station or Namamugi Station. Either station is equidistant walking distance. The village is easy to find. We were surprised that there were more locals than tourists. Several of the locals appeared to be on the free tour for the free beer. Prior... More

I went there with my dad on the rainy day. The stuff was so nice and very kind to us. They gave us English guild book because the tour was in Japanese. At the end of the tour , they gave you to try a few free glasses of different beer. They gave us 2 umbrellas too because its raining... More

Strictly by reservations only. Visitors will be brought on a guided tour of the making of kirin beer and their much-famed ichiban wort. At the end of the tour, one would get to sample various beer that they produce. Point to note is that the venue is located in Yokohama and a change of train is required before a 400m... More
