Nice and sedate trip. Could combine with the cable car and ideally that would be the best. We had low cloud and a white out so didn't do this plus we ran out of time. Next time however would do the cable car which is...More

Its covered by Hakone Pass (if you have one), but you can also upgrade it to First Class for 400 yen! But the experience will be totally different from the normal one, since the normal one is so packed and crowded, you will barely see...More

Trips are well organised and you can stop at different places. Sort of a hop on hop off boat trip. Great experience.

Honestly, I have no stinking clue to as to why the tour boat is in a pirate ship form but I don't care because the design is the coolest I have ever seen and will ever get to ride on. The ship itself is very...More

Lake Ashi is a place I want to return to visit for many days. Riding across the lake in Shogun style was very fun. Not a view of Fuji, but lovely views along the lake.

We paid the extra fee to get first class cabin. We also bought the Hakone Free Pass which is 4000 yen when bought from Odawara station. Being in first class on the ship is nice. You get a separate cabin that is not crowded. And...More

I have only been to Motohakone - a good selection of shops and a great restaurant/cafe that overlooks the lake. The boat usually stops at both - so you can do both if you have the time.
