Beautiful shrine overlooking the lake. A must do if in Hakone. Peaceful walk and just stunningly scenic.

It's a little walk from the harbour and then there are steps to climb to get to the top of the shrine. The amulets are not translated into English so buying them requires some knowledge of Kanji .

Its a beautiful shrine but there are plenty of them in Japan.. You can have a little walk and then just make a short break, because there are a lot of people praying

Long lines for the New Year's worship. There are beautiful trees surrounding the Hakone Shrine and street vendors offer food to people coming to line up to do worship.

If outdoor and nice photo shots is what you are looking for. This place is nice for photo shots.. popular to locals and tourist. Shrine is busy preparing new year so many Tentage is blocking the path.

The shrine sits beside a lake with views of Mt Fuji and connects well to a nearby temple. Worthwhile visit and good to pair with seeing other nearby shrines or the onsen (hot springs) about a 30 minute bus journey away.
