Such a relaxing day! Having spent a super busy week sightseeing in Tokyo this was exactly what we needed to relax. The place itself is very easy to access, we grabbed a taxi from Hakone Yumoto which was quite affordable and easier than trying to...More

Close to Hakone-Yumoto Station and I had very good experience. Only thing is if you live here in Japan and use to visit lots of onsens you may find it very different. First, they accept people with tattoo, I found at least 10% people wearing...More

Great experience, beautiful place. I visited with my friends and it was so calm and beautiful. However we read previous comments about bathing suits allowed and that's not true... Only naked. However it's an amazing experience and you shouldn't miss it Tattoo friendly

The restaurant and resting area are by the river, with a couple of cherry blossom trees. The outdoor sitting area was raining pale pink sakura petals when I went in spring. Hot springs are not in a huge area but really nice - 1 wooden...More

For those who haven't been to Hakone or an Onsen before, most Onsens don't accept people with Tattoos. This is the only one in Hakone which does. This is a very nice onsen and we had a good experience. Beautiful setting and friendly staff. It...More

They have beautiful rock made onsen with various pools. It is a pity that they do not allow photos, as we arrive early and there was no one. It was very relaxing during a December visit. It is a clean and well maintained onsen. And...More

We had dinner before the onsen. The restaurant is divided into 2 areas. One for ala carte and the other set meals. We tried the set meals. Without fail, the food is delicious. The black pork set is amazing! The Onsen is separated by gender....More

It a must do in Hakone since it’s famous with hot spring. Been doing research around for Onsen which allowed for peoples with tattoos. This is the one most peoples have recommended. Took the romancecar from Shinjuku to Hakone-Yumoto station in an early morning, 7am...More

Hi, We didn’t take the bus and we didn’t see where it was either. But the whole area around the Onsen and the driveway down into the carpark is very steep, you might have a little trouble. Hope this helps!

If you are just going for onsen (not to stay), you don't need to book in advance. Ikkyu (the onsen next to Tenzan) is closed on Thursdays though.
