At the entrance to the temple complex, the gate is a beautiful entry to the grounds beyond. It is worth the time to examine from several sides and from a bit of distance. Take a moment and you’ll be happy you did.

I love the beautiful old, wooden structure, and the huge red lantern hanging within the gate. It's gorgeous. The statues of the demons and the expressions on their faces are also worth a look, so don't just rush through.

【Niomon】 is one of the five 【Nationally Designated Important Cultural Properties】 in the precincts of Naritasan Shinshoji, and I like the beauty of 【Niomon】 as much as 【Three-story Pagoda】. If you look closely at Fauci from the front side, you will not be able to see him, but if you look through [Sōmon] (from a distance), Chidori Gable on the roof of Buttigieg boasts a castle-like beauty. There is also a Noken Kara Gable on the back side, but it is still inferior to Chidori Gable on the front. By the way, the bottom of this [large lantern] has dragon decoration just like Kaminarimon of [Asakusa Sensoji], so don't miss it.
