We visited in early August so the predominant foliage colors were green. It was too hot to really spend much time walking the trails. A visit here in cooler spring or fall would be wonderful. The park is next to the Shinsho-ji Temple grounds. This...More

If you would like to walk in stunningly beautiful gardens and enjoy the surroundings in tranquility, this is the place. It really is so nice to see the maple and gingko trees, and the beautiful lake. It is a real treat to enjoy this place.

I enjoyed my quick visit on my last day in Japan before flying home. The park is lovely and peaceful, and I felt it was a great way to relax and get a bit of exercise before a long flight home.

Narita is more like a day trip. If you have four days, I suggest you go to Tokyo instead and you have a lot more to see/do.

I don't know if it is forbidden or not, but actually, I did not see anybody eating at the park. There are some areas to seat and rest, and besides that there is a cosy restaurant where you can have something to eat.
