Well worth a walk along as the breakwater extends well out into the ocean. If you can stand the cold wind in winter, walk back along the actual edge towards the township and you get some different perspectives of the structure. There were a couple of minor historical monuments if you care to hunt for them as well. GREAT location... More

We stayed by nearby hotel and and my wife rented bicycle. She enjoyed this dome very much. We also enjoyed photos and little of recording video. (which we never do and was the only time we did) I suppose the place(architecture) was beautiful and not crowded. Enjoyed quite time. I went there very late winter but it was still very... More

It was a quick photography session for us on the unique shape of this building as the icy wind was blowing very strongly in Wakkanai while we were there. Had a good time admiring the uniqueness of the built up of the pillars.

A year ago I wrote the review of this place. It wasn't very attractive at that time. But this time I am so impressed. There has no more free accommodation for camper. Therefore it looks very clean the beautiful. If you just come for sight seeing, of course it is not worth but if you like to have a nice... More

We didn't visited this place specifically. But saw this several times when we go near it. Don't think it's worth a visit if you are not interested in historical monuments.

This place just locates right next to the hotel we stayed. It was convenient and free. A good place for pictures. I am not sure if it's a good place for a walk as it was very windy when we were there.

This historical dome stands beautifully under the sun lights. Especially in the early morning hour. Beside enjoying such a beautiful view and together with the sea breeze, it is worth to spending some times relaxing and walking around this area, u will find our tiring soul will calm and recovered especially travelling such a long hours journey.

It was a nice and beautiful building, however, it had also been used as free accommodation from many of bikkies. Then it does look a bit daggy. If you want a free accommodation, there will be a good location for camping!!

Serene and Beautiful. A relaxed walk in the evening before sunset would be the best time to spend here.
