There are lots of workshops in other shops making marbles (10min), gluing glass on music boxes, sun catcher etc. But definitely book and try the hot work (making vase / cup) at 1200 degrees. Takes 40 minutes and need to book in advance.

Taishougarasu shops are all around the main street in Otaru selling similar but yet different styles of glassware. Service was generally good and lots of different varities - candle holder, kitchenware, sake glass set and decortation items etc.

I would say it is a nice quaint place to visit. Beautiful glass items sold in the shop. There are also opportunity to attend some hands-on workshop if your timing is good. Nice to go in and take a look if you have the time.
