Buy the 1 day pass for around 500 yen that can allow you to use the tram and bus unlimited for the whole day. It included the bus trip to Hakodate Hill. Otherwise, one single trip will cost you 200 yen. If you stay near...More

Great way to see the city. Connects you to majority of the sights. They are comfortable & economical if you get the all day pass. It may be old but well taken cared off & rides perfectly. Great to see the city maintain this heritage.

A quaint way to see the town, if you're short on time. I find trams a throwback to simpler times and marvel that some places still have them. Ride it for the experience.

It's great to see this trams move around the city and a treat to ride them. Worth even a short ride through the centre of town.

Yeah it is an old style tram so nice to see and some cars are special, so if you like that kind of things you are going to like it. For the rest it is working fine.

Very convenient transport. Remember to take a ticket when boarding and pay the driver when you get off.

Yes, the Hakodate tram is just transportation - getting riders from point A to point B. But it is something more. It took me back in time a bit, bringing back good memories of similar sorts of streetcars in other places I've lived in the...More

Walked from Smile Hotel in Hakodate and took the Tram through the town. It had a retro feel to it. The driver was very helpful.

Super convenient way to get around and see Hakodate. Really helpful card with pictures you and the driver can point to if there is a language issue. Same process as bus, enter from rear door and collect ticket with stop number on it. When you...More

Should be about a 20 minute walk if my memory is correct or an easy cab ride if some explains to the driver

Not so far, 200-300 m, if you mean bay loop cruise ship (nice views etc). But if you mean ferry (to Aomori, for example) then, there is no tram stop around. Only by bus or car/taxi.
