Great way to get around to main tourist spots, got a day pass which saved a bit of money and avoided the need to hunt around for change. Great for tourists

Most stations are closed to sights. Board from back, pull a ticket and check the screen for amount to pay when getting off. Number on ticket indicates payment amount. Ranges from 210yen to 250yen, one day ticket is worth if taking more than 3 rides....More

excellent value for money, and the seats are heated in winter. The trams go to most of the places on the tourist trail so well worth the 1 or 2 day passes

We took the tram everyday during our stay at hakodate as this is the most convenient public transport in hakodate for locals and tourists. We used the iocca card for easy travel as this is accepted in japan and Hokkaido.

One of the unique and better ways to get around in Hakodate... Brings you from the Bay of Hakodate & Mount Hakodate all the way to the Yunokawa Station where you can visit the Monkeys in Onsen at the nearby Hakodateshi Nettai Botanical Gardens...

Ride the tram in Hakodate! It's fun, convenient and lets you see the city in a fun way! There are one day passes for just the tram alone or day passes if you want a combo of the tram & bus.
