The tower tour was informative with history of the battle of Hakodate and how the Goryokaku park was constructed. But a bit pricy for the entrance ticket. The audio tour to the Governor house was not worth the money.

A picture perfect location of historical significance! Definitely worth a visit, even if it’s just to stroll along its serene walkways. There is also a great dessert and cake shop right next to it.

What a gorgeous Park and my timing was excellent for the end of the blossom season. I didn't go up the tower but walked all around the site for several hours. Beautiful place.
