It is a walk of about a kilometre from the tram stop (Number 2) and it is uphill past an extensive cemetery but once there it is worth it. The views are good along the coastline and back towards the city. Well worth a visit on a fine day

Awesome scenery! Just stand in front of the cliff to admire God's creation and enjoy the scenery. However, it is not a very convenient place to visit unless you have a car. Do make sure tht you go on a sunny day so that you get to see the view clearer.

Take note that you need to walk pass a cemetery to reach the cape. But the view is excellent. I just hung around there to enjoy the breeze and view. However there is no food there, only toilet facility is available. So i would recommend travelers to bring food and drink to chill and relax there.

It takes ca. 15min walk from Yatsugashira tram station. Shimokita penninsula (the northernmost place of Honshu island) can be seen accross Tsugaru straight if sky is clear. I also saw Hakodate city center. It's possible to get to there all year-round, but walk carefully in wintertime, the roads may be slippy and the place is so windy. You may see... More

It can be quite windy and chilly so a warm sunny day is the best time to visit. Wonderful views down the Hakodate beach line. If the lady selling barbequed corn and squid is there do try some, very good.

A bit far away from the train station, but the view makes up for this. I came on a grey and rainy day, but it was amazing still.

Drove pass meandering lanes and even wondered if we have lost our way when we reached a cemetery. It was a one way road so we decided to drive on and finally saw the parking area for the cape. I suppose because it’s late autumn so there were not many local visitors and no coaches too. The view is rewarding,... More
