This stop can be included as part of a walking tour through the conservation section of the city. It would not be considered a destination. It's reminiscent of some areas of San Francisco. Bicycle riders love this for the challenge of the slope.

Scenic slope that is a good stop for photos in the Motomachi area. It is located not far away from Hakodate ropeway station. Get a different feel when viewed in the evening.

The street was quiet at night. When I first saw the hachimanzaka, it was stunning, so scenic. I had some of the sweetest memories with my wife strolling down the street with my baby in the stroller. Felt romantic..

It's a peaceful and scenic walk along these streets. Can see some old European styled building and at certain location, can even see the sea.

It’s really like San Francisco’s road but not quite 100% like. Here is some Europe style and Japanese style. Elegant and clean, quite and peaceful. Feeling well walking here!!
