It is a small muesum funded by some private donator. The collection cannot be compared with major national museums but it is still quite interesting with artifacts mainly from near East region and south America.

So this museum is basically about ancient middle eastern civilizations centred around Iran. The exhibits are interesting but you are not likely going to learn smithing if you do not read Japanese.

Staff do not speak English and not helpful at all. Museum itself is not large and quite a walk from JR Okayama but not entirely bad for a ½ hr stop on the way to the black castle.
