Good views of niigata

Great place to take a photo of Niigata from high up. Gift shop and restaurant are also located on that level.

nearly 360 view of the city. even see Sado island, the snow capped mountains up north and the river mouth into the Japan Sea. An efficient bus service from the train station to the various tourist stops too, including the Toki Messe facility.

This building is the highest on the Sea of Japan side and the observation deck is located at about 125 m above the ground. Admission is free! From the observation ceck, people could see panoramic scenery such as Niigata City, Nihonkai, Sado Island, Gozu Mountain.

I had a conference there and I thought it was very complicated to find anything in the building but it's nice and clean with some exhibitions all the time. I was lucky and it was a Ghibli exhibition when I was there, what was awesome. For conference the rooms are working well but it's easy to get lost and end... More

Sleek, modern Toki Messe offers convention facilities and is part of a complex that has become a landmark in Niigata since opening in 2003 at the mouth of the Shinano River. Architecturally, it is the horizontal part of a giant "L," with a 34-story tower forming the vertical portion. We spent six days here, attending a conference, which was well... More

Actually, there nothing to do exept for the eating (a little bit expensive restaurants) and enjoy the nice view on Niigata city from the last floor! It worth it! You definitely should come here. Especially to see the sunset (if you will be lucky and there is a sunny weather).

Pleasant surroundings by Shinano River, nice restaurants and shops, there's a museum in the complex, and in the second half of April the river bank is adorned with beautiful cherry blossoms.

Toki Messe is a very clean and modern convention centre. I found the facilities very easy to use and the riverside setting to be very pleasant. The convention centre is about a 25-minute walk from Niigata Station, but it's a quick taxi ride. There are also hotels nearby. I'd be happy to have another event there.
