    Worth a visit!
Interesting Castle recently rebuilt to the highest standards. Fascinating to see the skills required to reconstruct this most traditional building. All set in a most beautiful park especially when the cherry blossom is in full bloom.

    Beautiful Place
This is a lovely place to wander around. There are extensive gardens, statues and a beautiful lake. The castle is long gone. The effect is slightly ruined by how many trees are propped up against collspse and the excessive manicuring of the grounds by teams of gardeners. It's all very beautiful, but the cost to achieve that beauty is considersble. Cafe &toilets.

    Worth a visit!
At the castle, the Ninomaru Palace allows you inside to see exhibits about the construction of the castle. The actual castle is long gone but a new reconstruction is underway. The surrounding castle park is beautiful and immaculately kept. A lot of Japanese maples were in full foliage.

In Nov 2023 the TeamLab planet had a temporary show that was spectacular. As you roamed the outside of the castle the show was projected on several walls. Very unique

The reconstructed Castle building has some nice exhibitions, including information about the actual reconstruction process. You can get a combined ticket with Kenrokuen Garden.
The surrounding Castle Park is great for a stroll.

Stunning Castle complex with immaculately kept and beautiful surrounding park walks and gardens. The 3 dimensional garden” is one of the most beautiful things we’ve seen.

The actual castle was not there, but it is building the new caste using the same technology. Which has been used in the original building. It also serves as a museum to showcase technology.
The garden was an outstanding place to visit.

This castle was well organized. You will take off shoes before entering. It is not the original, restructured based on the original design so facilities are very new examples elevator for wheelchair. If you are interested in historical building suggest visiting Myoritsu temple known as Ninja Temple approx 10 min bus ride from this neighborhood.

Visited the castle after heavy snow and hale storm. Scenery was beautiful. There were more to experience in the castle vs the gardens on a snowy day.

Worth a visit! Heavily fortified and yet, attractive to behold. Maybe not in centuries gone by! Moats surrounding the structures are occupied by fish, ducks and the odd turtle. Quiet and peaceful, this is a green place for leisurely walks of imagination.
