Wide variety of small gardens that are meticulously maintained. Even-though we attended at the end of the winter there was still much to enjoy. While trying to escape a sudden downopur we happened upon the teahouse. While sitting in the small tatami matt room we enjoyed a very good ramen lunch.

We staid at a hotel near the garden instead of near the station because we could walk in the garden each day of our stay. Entrance fee is very low (210 JPY). It is nice to see all these volunteers enjoying gardening.

We were luck enough to be there when the gardens were open and lit at night.we went during the day and at night. A lovely experience with traditional music across the lake.

We visited during Sakura season and the garden was stunning. There are so many different sections with different plants and traditional features. We arrived early in the morning (before 8am) to avoid the crowds which was a bonus.

Nothing else to say. A must see. These beautiful gardens have so much to see and offer that a morning flies by. We were lucky to see the early plum blossom which was lovely.

Strolling through this well-kept garden is a quiet experience, even though you're not alone. The view to the mountains and the city is great, and while we were here, a lot of geisha's took pictures of them selves and each other - and everyone else got pictures of them as well.

I did not expect this garden to be as beautiful. The landscape was stunning. Big trees and ground covered with a lot of moss. It is near the castle on the top of the hill, so you get an added bonus of the city view from the height. We were very lucky to get the glimpse of first sakura blossom... More

This garden is in the heart of Kanazawa. It is close to Kanazawa castle. The decoration of the garden and tree is superb. The view is spectacular. Highly recommend for visit.
