A small - just two floors - but very nice museum with beautiful costumes on display. Only downstairs you can take some photos, but your eyes will remember this particular art of performing theater

I was quite disappointed by this small museum. It has potential and should take its mission more seriously and more openly. Noh is a widely underappreciated and misunderstood performing art. And no one will understand it better by visiting this place. Notwithstanding a few explanations...More

I went here solely to purchase some Japanese gifts - they have jewellery, ceramics etc. What was nice was that many were by specific artists which added a more personal touch to the mass produced variety

I enjoyed a brief visit, and the materials on the second floor looked very nice. I was disappointed that I could not take souvenir photos of my visit to the second floor to show other people. There were relatively few helpful English signs upstairs, unfortunately....More

The recent addition of 2017 paintings to the collection has added spice to what is considered a valuable national asset. So many beautiful and colourful costumes, as well well crafted masks. The entry fee is 300¥ (250¥ if you have the Hokutetsu Bus One Day...More

We went to this museum and my wife got dressed as a performer, smiling all the way through as two ladies dressed her. We then went up to the second floor to read and see all about it.

The museum is located a short walk from the Contemporary Art Museum and is worth a visit if you have some spare time and are in the area. It's very small but informative.
