This was an interesting tour. My husband and I did not swim as Devils Pool was to high. You get a walking tour and get extremely close to the falls on the Zambia’s side. Be sure to wear shorts as you get very muddy and...More
This trip is not for the faint hearted but if you can, do it. It involves a short( fast) boat ride to Livingstone island. A safety briefing; a wade and short swim ( in line and following a guide) towards the pool; a scramble over...More
Very cool visit to angels pool! Bathing on the edge and seeing everything, just right there is amazing. Even the boat ride there was so much fun!
The experience was great!
However, the company and communication was quite poor. The pickup spot had been changed,...More
We took this trip from the Royal Livingstone Hotel on the banks of the Zambezi and nothing can prepare you for the sheer thrill and excitement of the swim in the pool that is just 1.5 meters from the edge of the waterfall! We went...More
The trip is expensive but we thought well worth it. To see the Falls from above is quite phenomenal. I did not swim in the Angels Pool but watched my daughter do so with my heart in my mouth. The guides took fantastic photos and...More
Can only agree with some other reviews here. The staff and the organisation of the whole tour was the worst ever. Our guide was super unfriendly and impatient. So it turned out to be more a rushed tour than anything else. It seemed to me...More
This was really a score of "0" for the staff checking us in and a "5" for the experience at the falls.

What an amazing experience this is! You are picked up from the Livingstone Hotel in a boat and take a short 5 minute ride out to the island. They give you raincoats to keep you warm as you hike out to either Angel's Pool (in...More
This exceeded our expectations. The speedboat to the top of the falls was a great start. Then a swim in the angel's pool above the falls is thrilling. The guides are extremely knowledgable and give a great insight into the falls and their history. The...More

Not at all! You can actually only walk to Livingstone Island at very specific times of the year, and only with official Tongabezi guides, because it's right in the middle of the waterfall. It's far more likely that you would be driven from Tongabezi Lodge to the Royal Livingstone Hotel where a boat would pick you up and take you to Livingstone Island. If you are there at the right time of year you could then swim in the Devil's Pool. I hope this helps.

Hi! The tour is called “Livingstone Island Tour.” The price varies depending upon what time of day your tour is. Can’t remember exactly what I paid. There is only one tour as it’s owned by the hotel, so it doesn’t really matter who you by the tour from. The tour website only talks about Devils Pool, but it will be Angels Pool if you go in July.
