We did the hike to devils pool through the rain forest. it is a sharp decline to the bottom and a steep climb up. Be careful of the baboons who are agressive especially if you are carrying food and bags. They gab bags , so do not keep passports and valuable belongings in bags.

There are two Pools - Devils and Angels. Devils Pool is open in the dry season and Angels Pool in the wet. We went to the Angels Pools. Cost US$100 for a breakfast trip, with return boat transfers included from the Royal Livingstone Hotel. The tour is a bit rushed, as they have 5 groups through in a day, but... More

this was pretty cool. took us by boat to the island where you walk over to an area to view the falls. Change into swimwear and swim across a little to the area where you can access the pool area. Spend 15 minutes or so in the pool looking at the views from the edge and swimming in the pool.... More

We visited Phinda Game Preserve, Cape Town, Victoria Falls, and Johannesburg for 17 days, from August 17 to September 3, 2016, capping it off with a trip to the Devil's Pool on the last day. Since our flight to Johannesburg was leaving at 1:30PM, we had to get up extra early for the first session of the day. The separately... More

This whole experience was amazing and for sure worth it! You can only do it a few months of the year when it is dry season, so if you are there when it's open you have to do it. It's a scary thought to think of how close to the edge you are, but it's so fun! You won't fall... More

This is an absolute must do! It is scary but worth the trek to get there and then the plunge into the pool on the edge of the Falls. It took about an hour to reach Devil's Pool and I thought there was no way we were possibly getting into the pool on the edge! But we did it and... More

What a thrill! Insane but amazing. To sit on the edge of the falls was thrilling. The staff ensured we felt safe and secure and ensured we captured amazing photos of this once in a life time experience. We stayed for the lunch on Livingston island which was worth it. They provide towels to dry and change. Small tent is... More

Honestly?! This is scary - but as long as you can genuinely swim - and try not to panic. This will give you a sense of fulfillment - was an amazing experience!

This was the craziest thing I have ever done but absolutely worth it, as it was rainy season the current was quite bad making it harder to get to the top of the waterfall but totally worth it. The guides are great and help you along the way. The views are incredible and to be hanging at the edge of... More
