We arrived while there was a Cao Dai mass going on. They allowed us to take pictures and videos nevertheless. The Cao Dai culture is really unique. The temple had great architecture, details of the walls, the roof, pillars, floor - they are all great!

I would recommend visiting the temple. The entire temple is intricately carved and carefully painted in bright colours. The ceremony was interesting, although I felt that the tourism was quit intrusive and felt that the worshippers may have found it difficult to block out the...More

This place is fascinating - you can combine it with a tour of the Cu Chi tunnels. Seen a lot of temples recently and didn't think I could fit in any more, but definitely worth a visit.

We went up to Cao Dai temple with another family who had never travelled overseas before. They were fascinated by the temple as were we. We arrived for the midday mass with the singing virgins. Prior to the service could walk around and have a...More

I felt uncomfortable here, witnessing one of this sect's services along with many other tourists. It seemed more like a closed cult - worshippers were marshalled and it all seemed a little - I can't quite find the right word - but I didn't like...More

We stopped at the Cao Dai Temple first before going to the Cu Chi Tunnels. The ceremony takes place four times a day; so if you go there you should try to see a mass as well. Before the mass you are allowed to visit...More

Often combined with a trip to the Cu Chi Tunnels, the Cao Dai Temple is a place of sensory overload in a lovely part of Vietnam. It is especially vibrant on sundays when special services are performed and costumed priests and practioners (all dressed in...More

Shoulders must be covered. Best yo take a light blouse to put on over a vest top. You also must have knees covered so no shorts.
