Hoi An is a lovely place, typified by the ancient old quarter and its fascinating collection of historical structures. Just buy your ticket book (120.000VND) & pick the 5 places you most want to see. Some of the buildings are just gorgeous and for the...More

When you enter this beautiful house. You are asked to sit and offered sweets. You wait until there is a little group and you are given a guided tour of the house by a member of the family. They also do the tour in French....More

Don’t bother using one of your Old Town tickets on this location. We had a “guide” that was very unenthusiastic and quite frankly, bored, who offered us a tour of a souvenir shop. There is nothing to see here other than the shop. Uncomfortable as...More

This was our first stop on the tourist ticket (you buy a ticket and can then go into any 6 of the Historical sites). We were required to have a guide who was essentially reciting a memorized script - I’m not sure she actually spoke...More

Very small place. First but was slightly interesting hearing about the family history but really it was all about wanting you to but something from their shop which was bigger than the house part you where shown around. Girl was not too pushy but list...More

There's really not much of interest here at all. Neither the exterior or interior are particularly noteworthy. There's a bunch of stuff inside they're trying to sell, but all fairly generic items.

The Tran family home was built by the affluent ancestor 10 generations ago according to the lady who is a decendant of the family. You catch a glimpse of the home of a high government official in the old days. A good place to visit.
