This is only worth a visit if you are interested in cultural history. Personally the best feature of this place is the view from the balcony and the authentic look of the building.

It’s another old two-storey house on the main street of the Old Town, but inside are artefacts and placards talking about the Sa Huynh people. These were the natives who inhabited the land before the Cham arrived and built the more impressive monuments like My Son. Most of the displays are pottery, some large burial urns, some fragments. Those are not all that enthralling, but they have very good signage in English explaining the Sa Huynh and their culture. It’s an interesting slice of ancient history and the view from the balcony on the upper floor is fantastic: down on the main street with the lanterns strung among the balconies. If you have an extra ticket in your Hoi An pass, this is a good place to use it.

Across from temple in old town, small 2 story building, definitely be careful going up on 2nd floor very narrow steps. Good amount of cases rich in Vietnam history. Small admission fee.

to compare with other Museums and old houses in Hoi An, ancient stuff are shown from different parts of the country which is interesting because in many old houses you can see just the old stuff of old families, mostly not ancient. i think in this museum it is possible to see another aspect of the country. a not very long stop can be fine

This museum is next to the Japanese bridge. You can purchase tickets to see 5 sites around the old town of Hoi An for 120,000 dong. This is A small museum detailing the finds around the region, including jewellery, ceramics and burial jars. The steps up and down are quite steep.

It is a good little two story museum. It has a lot of artifacts from the Sa Huynh culture, ranging from 1000BC-300AD. Artifacts such as, pots, bowls, tools, weapons and jewelry, it give us a glimpse of what it was like to live in that place and time. Does not take long to complete (30-40 mins) as there isn’t all that much information to read. It costs one ticket (5 tickets cost 120,000vnd).

Nice museum with lots of interest, small enough to enjoy but with sufficient information. It is also housed in a nice building. Certainly take the time on the tour to see it.

I learnt a great deal from this museum and was very impressed by being able to view artifacts that were thousands of years old. Well worth a quick look or a longer read. Very interesting and authentic.

The museum is small but has a lot of charm. Everything is explained in English and story could be followed in the reasonable way.
